A tight four-way battle for places in the Eastern Goldfields Netball Association’s division one finals series resumes on Friday night after a general bye, when outright leadership is up for grabs.

Sonix 1 and Steelers 1, each with five wins and a draw, lead the competition.

But both squads face tough assignments in round 11 against Rookies 1 and Imperials 1, respectively, who are hot on their heels — each with four wins and a draw.

The evenness of the division sees Sonix 1 leading Steelers 1 with a percentage of 124.16, alongside their rival’s 109.52.

And an arm-wrestle for third and fourth place is remarkably similar, with Rookies 1 holding the higher ladder spot with a percentage of 102.73, compared to 100.00.

Mana 1, who are yet to open their winning account in 2026, have drawn a bye this weekend.

Five rounds of the qualifying series remain, with the finals under way on August 21.

Friday’s draw:

Division 1:

At 6pm: Rookies 1 v Sonix 1. At 7.30pm: Imperials 1 v Steelers 1.

Division 3:

At 6pm: Imperials 3 v Sapphires 1; Flyers 1 v Rookies 1. At 7.30pm: Mana 3 v Sonix 4; Steelers 3 v Sonix 3.
