Boulder produced a four-goal final quarter last Saturday to earn a draw against Mines Rovers, 11.6 (72) to 11.6 (72), in the Goldfields Football League’s reserves competition.

In a see-sawing contest, the Tigers led by five points at half-time but Mines Rovers piled on 6.0 in the pivotal third term.

It paved the way for a 24-point lead, but the blue-and-whites were goalless in the run home when Boulder surged with 4.1.

Boulder actually hit the front in the last term, but Jake Littlewood’s behind with 70 seconds left tied the scores.

Graham Smith, Henry Papertalk and Malachi Waters each kicked two goals for Boulder, as did Angus Lavender, Littlewood, Chris Strano and Casey Penn for Mines Rovers.

The clubs also drew in round six, but Mines Rovers remain a game clear in first place over the Tigers.

Also last weekend, Dylan Hinchliffe and Lee Poyner each kicked four goals in Railways’ win against Kalgoorlie, 13.8 (86) to 2.2 (14).

Kyde Stubbs contributed three goals to the victory.

In this Saturday’s round 12 fixtures, Mines Rovers host Kambalda at Digger Daws Oval and Kalgoorlie are at home against Boulder at Sir Richard Moore Sports Centre.

Both games start at 12.30pm.

Colts fixtures resume this weekend following last weekend’s Great Southern Carnival in Kulin where the GFL finished third.

Reserves ladder:

Mines Rovers 32 points; Boulder 28; Railways 16; Kalgoorlie 12; Kambalda 0.
