LATEST COVID-19 DEVELOPMENTS:

* Australia's health experts say that even with the proposed reset of the COVID-19 vaccination program, there is no way of putting a timetable on its completion. The national cabinet is due to release details of a revised plan to roll out coronavirus vaccinations on Thursday.

* An Auckland Airport worker has tested positive to COVID-19 in New Zealand's first community case since the opening of the trans-Tasman bubble on Monday.

* The Northern Territory has recorded another six COVID-19 cases in quarantine, adding to the 10 already recorded in the past four days.

* Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk is calling for more data about the AstraZeneca vaccine to restore public confidence in the jab ahead of a renewed COVID-19 vaccine drive.

* NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has derided the federal health minister's warning that mass vaccination won't lead to international borders opening as "the biggest load of rubbish I've ever heard", saying mass vaccination will "change our lives".

* Prime Minister Scott Morrison said ahead of national cabinet on Monday that there were strong arguments to bring forward the date of vaccinating those over 50.

AUSTRALIAN VACCINATION NUMBERS:

* There have been 1,653,286 doses administered in the national COVID-19 vaccination rollout up to Monday, including 67,034 in the past 24 hours.

* Of the total, 990,382 have been administered by the Commonwealth (an increase of 50,756 in the past 24 hours).

* 812,862 have been doled out in primary care (+46,121), and 177,520 in aged and disability facilities (+4635).

* 662,904 have been administered by the states and territories, including 16,278 in the past 24 hours.

* 177,733 have been administered in NSW (+3881), 168,250 in Victoria (+4205), 126,011 in Queensland (+3146), 78,215 in Western Australia (+1971), 48,115 in South Australia (+1524), 29,417 in Tasmania (+484), 22,056 in the ACT (+724), and 13,107 in the NT (+343).

AUSTRALIAN CORONAVIRUS NUMBERS:

* Australia reported no locally acquired virus cases on Monday. There were 16 new overseas-acquired cases in quarantine: three in NSW, one in Victoria, three in SA, six in the NT and three in WA.

* The national death toll is 910: Victoria 820, NSW 56, Tasmania 13, WA 9, Queensland 7, SA 4, ACT 3 (Two Queensland residents who died in NSW have been included in the official tolls of both states).

GLOBAL CORONAVIRUS NUMBERS:

* Cases: at least 142,098,067

* Deaths: at least 3,029,811

* Recovered: at least 81,306,846
