Jessica CuthbertAlbany Advertiser

The saying “you are never too old for love” rings true for Albany couple Peter Taylor, 91, and Naida Glass, 81, who married last Saturday.

After becoming engaged on March 31, the couple said their vows in front of their closest family and friends at The Albany Club.

Standing by Ms Glass as bridesmaids were her five grandchildren, Jessica Plug, Jane Glass, Jordyn Bower and Nikki and Danielle Gogan.

The “best couple” were Peter and Robin James.

Granddaughter Nikki Gogan said her nan and Mr Taylor had had very long and happy marriages the first time around.

“Both of their partners had passed, so we were absolutely thrilled that our beautiful nan found love again in Peter, and his cheekiness certainly brings a smile to all of our faces,” she said.

“Love is love and the way my nan lights up around Peter makes my heart feel full.

“In some moments, you could swear they were teenagers again.

“It’s just the most wonderful thing.”
