‘He was my best mate’: Sister’s touching tribute to Denmark crash victim Pierre Kelson

A “larger than life” teenager is dead after a crash in Denmark on Sunday morning. Pierre Kelson, 19, died when his Commodore station wagon hit a tree on Scotsdale Road at 6am. Mr Kelson, who was the only person in the car, died at the scene. His older sister Josephine Rivka said the pain of losing her “best mate” was indescribable. “I am beyond devastated and heartbroken to lose my precious little brother. He was a goofy, loving, adventurous and hard working young man,” Ms Rivka said. “He was my best mate. I can’t even find the words to express my pain or how I am feeling right now, it doesn’t feel real. “I’d give anything in the world to hold him and tell him I love him.” Friends remembered the young surfer as a “down to earth bloke” who was “a rock to his sister”. “Him and his sister were best mates... he was her rock whether she wanted to admit it or not,” long-time friend Balin Burns said.
