Beaufort River: Man and woman in serious condition after car and two motorbikes collide on Albany Highway

One man has been airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital following a serious crash between a car and two motorbikes on Albany Highway near Beaufort River. A man and a woman received non life-threatening injuries but are in a serious condition. It is believed the motorbike riders were part of a larger convoy of motorcyclists. Albany Highway is closed in both directions near the scene of the crash. The accident happened about 12.45pm on Friday near Robinson Road, about 35km north of Kojonup. Multiple crews from St John and DFES are at the scene, Kojonup Volunteer Fire and Rescue are also assisting. The man was taken by RAC helicopter to Royal Perth Hospital and is expected to land at 4.30pm. Major crash detectives are expected to arrive on the scene to investigate the crash.
