Show season in the Great Southern began in style in Kojonup at the weekend.

The Kojonup Show was back in full swing this spring with a strong turnout marking the return of many old favourite events, from sheep counting to dog jumping.

More than 50 trophies were handed out across a range of categories including photography, wool, bakery, crafts and floral art.

Kojonup Pastoral and Agricultural Society president Peta Zadow, who received six awards, applauded the Kojonup Apex Club and volunteers for their efforts in organising and managing much of the show.

WestCoast Fireworks made sure the show ended with a bang.
