Kojonup police appealing for witnesses or dash cam footage of Kia Rio amid investigation into Lumeah crash

Kojonup police are appealing to the public for information after a single vehicle crash in Lumeah, in the Shire of Kojonup on Saturday.
At about 1.50pm, a black Kia Rio hatchback was travelling south on Albany Highway near Dujemerrup Road, south of Kojonup, when the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed.
Police say the car left the road and hit a fence, but the driver, a man in his 40s, escaped without injury.
Investigations by police say it is believed the driver had been overtaking other vehicles prior to the crash.
Kojonup officer-in-charge Sgt Peter Reeves said police were looking to speak to any other drivers who were on the road around the time of the crash who may have witnessed it, or anyone with dash cam footage of the crash or of the vehicle driving in the area prior to the crash.
He said police were trying to gather more evidence to get a clearer idea of the circumstances leading up to the crash, and to rule out any wrongdoing or criminality involved.
Anyone with information or footage should contact Kojonup police on 9831 2555 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
