
Allstars emerged victorious over Kojonup in their top of the table clash in round four of the Katanning Netball Association’s A-grade competition on Saturday, with Olympians also notching a victory.
The Kojonup Sports Complex played host to the senior competition on the weekend, with the home side facing big rivals and ladder leaders Allstars.
Mischa and Lara Rodney were in the circle for Allstars, and put in a big opening half, shooting a combined 30 goals before half time.
Joshiquwa Wynne and Joedele Bolton worked hard in defence, confining Kojonup to 15 goals by half time.
Kojonup came back firing after the long break, and the teams each netted seven goals in the third term.

However, Kojonup’s slow start was costly, and Allstars quickly found their flow again by the final quarter, adding 12 goals to their haul while Kojonup only managed seven to finish the game 13-goal winners, with final scores at 39 goals to 26.
In the other A-grade game, Olympians walked off winners over Cardinals Force 51-32.
Olympians started fast and never looked back, with starting shooters Jayde Wolfe and Bella Narkle netting a combined 11 goals in the first quarter while Cardinals only managed eight.
Brenna Schloithe swapped into the circle for the second quarter alongside Narkle and Olympians extended their leading margin even further, shooting 10 goals to give them a six-goal advantage at half time.
By the third term Cardinals appeared to have run out of steam as Olympians surged ahead, adding 19 goals to their haul to give them an 18-goal lead with only one quarter left to play.
Cardinals worked hard in the final term, with shooters Emma Dolan and Raevin Tunui netting 10 goals to keep step with Olympians’ 11, but Olympians’ powerful third term proved the key to their victory as scores sat at 51-32 at the final whistle.

Allstars notched another victory in the A-reserves competition, defeating Broomehill 38-32 while Olympians took down Kojonup 37-29.
In the B-grade, Kia Ora walked off with a confident win over Cardinals Fever, with final scores at 58 goals to 23, while Kojonup notched a 44-35 defeat over Dumbleyung.
Allstars defeated Olympians 42-14 in the C-grade competition, and Cardinals Phoenix emerged victorious over Kia Ora, with final scores 40-34.
Round five will see the competition return to the Katanning Leisure Centre on June 6, with Kojonup facing Dumbleyung and Allstars going up against Olympians.
