Hundreds of people dressed in their Long White Cloud best for a fun night out at the annual Katanning Rotary International Night dinner and auction at the weekend.

The country in focus at this year’s event was New Zealand, and on April 20 the Katanning Recreation Centre Ram Pavilion was transformed to fit the theme with tradition, art and culture on display.

Attendees in All Blacks gear and finery were welcomed into the pavilion with a feast of oysters, and former Katanning teacher Robert Graham kicked off the night’s entertainment on the keys with some well-received covers.

Local businesses donated a range of items for the silent auction that raised money for children’s oncology research, and a fun time was had by all at the gala fundraiser.
