Claremont Football Club hold successful school holiday footy clinic with budding youngsters at Gnowangerup

Claremont Football Club held a successful school holiday clinic in Gnowangerup with aspiring young footy stars from around the region last week. Gnowangerup’s footy oval was packed with excited juniors as hometown hero Timm House and his Claremont teammates made the trip south. The clinic started at 11am on Tuesday and went through to the afternoon with about 70 young footballers attending. It was was open to anyone under the age of 18 and youngsters from all over the Great Southern took part. Claremont head coach Ashley Prescott was accompanied by House along with fellow WAFL players Patrick Kitchener, Tom Baldwin, who is from Jerramungup and football operations manager Kepler Bradley. The juniors got handy insights from Prescott and the players while the session focused on skills. House, a key forward for Claremont’s league team, said it was rewarding to see the smiles on kids’ faces and to give something back to his region. “We had kids from Tambellup, Nyabing, Lake Grace, Jerramungup, Borden and Gnowangerup,” he said. ‘It was a skills clinic with an AFL 9s station with Kepler Bradley teaching kids how to kick and Ashley Prescott doing a handball station. “It was a great footy clinic for all the kids out there in the school holidays.”
