Police have seized a “sophisticated hydroponic” cannabis set-up in a rural Mid West town as well as a range of unsecured firearms during a raid this week.

Officers from the Leeman and Jurien Bay police stations combined forces with Geraldton detectives to search a property on Dewar Street in Eneabba on Wednesday around 10am.

Acting Inspector Bruce McDonald said police discovered a sophisticated hydroponic cannabis cultivation operation growing at the address.

He alleges there was also a number of unsecured firearms found at the property.

Det-Sen Sgt McDonald said six large cannabis plants, three rifles and 880 rounds of ammunition of various calibre were seized.
