Several cars have been involved in a pile up crash in Bunbury this afternoon as the Labour Day long weekend gets under way.

The crash occurred about 5pm in the southbound lanes of Robertson Drive, near the turn off towards Busselton.

Police, fire crews and ambulance crews are in attendance.

The are unconfirmed reports rescue crews were using rescue tools on one of the vehicles.

Double demerits are currently in force for WA drivers over the Labour Day long weekend.
