A four-month-old English Blue Staffy puppy that was taken from outside its home has been reunited with its relieved owners.

CCTV footage shared by mother-of-four Juanita Houpapa yesterday morning on social media showed a dark Holden Commodore driving up to “Paua” as he sniffed around the front of their Huntingdale home.

Two men can then be seen jumping out of the car and snatching Paua before driving off, just before 11am on Tuesday morning.

Ms Houpapa’s 15-year-old son was first to raise the alarm about their missing puppy after finding their side gate, which is usually locked, open - and Paua gone.

The puppy’s owner Juanita Houpapa shared her relief and joy on Facebook this morning, saying she got the good news early this morning.

“At 04:00am this morning we were reunited with our little boy down at the Armadale Police Station in an apparent “unhealthy environment,” she wrote.

“So I just want to give a massive thank you to everyone that helped share and spread our story around. It was because of this and the media that led [to] him being found and I really can’t express how grateful we are of that. So from my family to all of yous... THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!!”

Ms Houpapa’s post has already received a very warm reception on Facebook, with people posting about the “wonderful” news.

“This was the update this morning that I was praying for, so so happy you have him back,” posted Steve Jannaway.

Police say inquiries are continuing into the circumstances surrounding the puppy being taken.
