Escaped inmate caught in central Australia
A crack unit of Northern Territory police has caught an escaped prisoner, who'd spent a night on the run in central Australia.
Alek Brumby, 30, fled the Alice Springs Correctional Centre late on Monday.
Strike Force Viper arrested him on Tuesday 25km away at a home in the town's south, NT police said.
The Alice Springs prison holds prisoners of all security levels with a focus on rehabilitation and reintegration.
