Police hunting driver and passenger after ram-raid of shop in Mandurah

A driver and passenger have ram-raided a shop front then fled the scene in Mandurah this morning.

A silver Toyota Hatchback deliberately reversed into the front doors of the Park Road Lunch Bar about 3.15am, causing extensive damage to the shop.

The vehicle completely destroyed the front security doors of the lunch bar, as well as damaging the car.

It is not clear whether the driver and passenger gained entry to the shop.

They fled on foot, sparking a police chase.

The police canine unit was deployed to the area, where they spent more than an hour searching for the pair.

No arrests have been made and inquiries are continuing.
