Man fights for life after alleged brawl outside Bunbury shopping centre
A man is in a critical condition and another has been charged with grievous bodily harm after a violent brawl outside a shopping centre in the State’s south-west.
Detectives have charged a 26-year-old Bunbury man with six offences including possessing a prohibited weapon, possessing a prohibited drug and grievous bodily harm, following a fight in a carpark in Bunbury on Tuesday night.
It will be alleged about 8.15pm four men were involved in the altercation, with one sustaining a serious head wound.
Police said two of the men involved left in a white VS Holden Commodore utility, before the injured man was rushed to Bunbury Hospital by St John Ambulance.
He has since been air lifted to Royal Perth Hospital after his condition deteriorated, and was tonight in a critical but stable condition.
The accused fronted Bunbury Magistrates Court today, charged with one count each of grievous bodily harm; cultivate a prohibited plant; possessed a controlled weapon; possessed a prohibited weapon; possessed any drug paraphernalia in or on which there was a prohibited drug or plant and possess a prohibited drug (cannabis).
