Danny James Love: Man charged over random attack after allegedly stabbing man in neck with shard of glass

A man has been charged over a violent and unprovoked attack on jogger near Mandurah in which the victim throat was slashed with a shard of glass. Danny James Love is accused of brutally attacking a male walker, along Britawast Road, in Madora Bay, about 12.10am on January 18. Police allege the 37-year-old pulled up beside the victim in a white sedan - exiting the car and slashing him in the neck, leaving him with serious laceration wounds. The pair were not known each other. The walker, who was aged in 30s, was rushed to Fiona Stanley Hospital for medical treatment. On Tuesday, detectives raided Mr Love’s home on Pallas Way, in San Remo, and arrested him. He has since been charged with unlawful act or omission with intent to harm (endangering life, health or safety of any person) and fronted Perth Magistrates Court on Wednesday. He was granted bail and entered into a $2000 personal undertaking. He will face court again on April 21.
