An Ascot man has been charged after he allegedly drugged and raped two women he met via an online dating site.

Police say in two separate incidents the 43-year-old man sexually assaulted the women.

During the first incident in May, it is alleged he assaulted a woman in her early 20s at a home in Burswood and used a drug to render her unconscious.

Police say during the second incident, at a home in Ascot in December, the man again used a drug to render a woman in her late 20s unconscious and sexually assault her.

The Ascot man has been charged with three counts of sexual penetration without consent and two counts of stupefying in order to commit an indictable offence.

He is next due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on Friday.

The investigation is ongoing and detectives have urged anyone with any information to come forward.
