A long list of Christmas events have now been cancelled as Premier Mark McGowan enforces strict COVID restrictions ahead of the festive season in order to try and keep West Aussies safe.

Although no lockdown has been announced, Mr McGowan has announced all music festivals between December 23 and 28 will be cancelled and nightclubs closed during that period also.

With several music festivals currently in full swing as well as several nightclubs taking advantage of the Christmas break with festive celebrations held between Thursday and New Years Eve, a whole lot of people will be left all dressed up with nowhere to go as the State tackles COVID once again.
