Bridgetown police have put out a call for public information after a number of suspicious fires were lit in the South West early Sunday morning.

Each blaze is believed to have been deliberately started in the early hours of the morning.

The fires were allegedly set along Hay Road in North Greenbushes and Old Padbury Road in Balingup.

It comes on the back of a series of deliberately-lit fires across Perth, including in the affluent suburb of Floreat and fire-ravaged Wooroloo, where residents are still reeling from last year’s bushfires.

Anyone with information regarding Sunday’s fires in the south west is urged to call Bridgetown Police on 08 9715 8130 or report the information to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or at www.crimestopperswa.com.au.

Significant rewards are available for information that leads to the identification and conviction of an arsonist.
