From early spin-outs to the action-packed Demolition Derby, there was plenty of action to cap off the Broome Speedway season as hundreds turned out to the dirt track on Saturday night.

Although 2020 threw plenty of curve balls towards Broome Speedway with COVID-19 initially putting the season on the brakes, the club pulled through as restrictions eased to allow them to forge ahead.

The Demolition Derby saw Dave Goodwin emerge victorious in his Mystery Machine after outlasting the other drivers. Jim Dixon was declared the driver of the best presented car with his Tank. Ben Irwin was the driver that caused the most damage with his Dominoes car.

Despite some spin-outs and crashes giving some favourites an early exit during the heats and causing several delays, Glen Dearle held strong to win the final round of Modlite racing for the season.

In the other senior races, Jake Hoath took out the Street Stocks and Modifieds race, Greg Mills won the Productions race, and Phillip Lockhart won the Senior Go Karts.

In the junior races, Max Lang took out the New Star Juniors and Junior Quarter Midgets along with Amelia Rayner, Ben Harris won the Junior Go Karts, and Riley Dunne took out the Top Star Juniors race.
