Another group of Lower Great Southern Hockey Association players will represent their State, this time at the upcoming 2018 Under-15 Hockey Championships in New South Wales.

LGSHA trio Tallulah Gouldthorp, Amy Sandilands and Brennan Doak will play for WA at the championships, which begin in Wollongong next Wednesday.

It will be Tallulah’s fourth national championships, having most recently played for WA at last year’s under-15 nationals, where WA Gold finished in fifth place. The young North Albany star scored a goal and started in four matches at the tournament last year.

She will look to build on that when she pulls the WA colours once again.

Amy, who hails from Mt Barker, will also be at a national championship for the fourth time when she joins Tallulah in the WA Gold side.

At the under-13 national championships last year, Amy scored twice on the way to her side finishing fourth.

Brennan, who played for Tigers in the men’s A-grade competition, will be travelling to his second national championships, where he will play for WA Gold in the boys’ side of the draw.

He last represented WA at the under-13 nationals in 2016 and he has now moved to Perth to complete his schooling at Wesley College.

The championships, consisting of teams from NSW, Victoria, the ACT, South Australia, Queensland and Tasmania, start on Wednes-day and wrap up the following Friday.

The trio have been training since last year to earn their place in their respective teams from more than 300 of the State’s aspiring young players who tried out.
