Work pays off for PCYC
The Albany Police and Community Youth Centre was recognised for its efforts at the annual PCYC awards night this month.
The Albany group won the fundraiser of the year award.
Albany manager Terry Eaton said he was proud of the win, adding it was a huge achievement.
“It’s a combination of a lot of work and effort from numerous people and we are very proud, and thankful of the community efforts,” he said.
“Every donation helps. It doesn’t matter if it’s big or small, we are always so grateful.
“We have done really well this year as a club, and I am very proud of the team.”
The Albany club took home the award for its fundraising efforts with the Albany PCYC Community Ball, charity darts and assisting with the Albany Agricultural Show.
Albany PCYC is involved in catering for a major charity darts tournament that is held at the centre annually in August.
