Woman injured in smokey Kendenup crash
A woman has been taken to hospital after a car crash near Kendenup this afternoon.
Traffic began to back up near the Albany Highway-Martagallup Road intersection after the accident around 2pm.
Albany Advertiser understands Shire of Plantagenet fire crews were at the scene for a bushfire when the crash occurred.
Fire, police and ambulance crews are on site and a smoke alert advice remains in the area.
Truck driver Greg Dayman said truckies had been told the vehicles may have crashed due to the poor visibility.
Albany Highway has re-opened and vehicles are being filtered past the incident.
The Great Southern was rocked by three fatal crashes last week.
