Promising Albany filly Mood Goddess will face her biggest test to date, contesting the listed $100,000 Ascot 1000 Guineas (1800m) at Ascot on Saturday for leading trainer Steve Wolfe.

The highly-touted three-year-old won a class 2 race in Albany resuming from a spell and then ran second stepping up over 1600m in Albany last start.

Wolfe will line her up in the Listed feature race against the likes of Tuscan Queen, Naughty By Nature, Dark Mission and Kentucky Love.

Ryan Hill has secured the ride on Mood Goddess, replacing Brodie Kirby, who has been aboard at her two runs this preparation.

Hill has ridden Wolfe’s impressive two-year-old Watch Me Dance to both of her victories.

Earlier this week Mood Goddess was among entries for the Group 2 $400,000 WATC Derby (2400m) and Group 3 $250,000 WA Oaks (2400m) in April and March respectively.

Mood Goddess has drawn ideally in barrier three and carries 54kg for Hill. Wolfe also has Round The Point, Captivated Point and Starorio entered on Saturday.

Freo will race over 1400m for Rebecca Wallrodt on the same day.

Small scale Albany-trainer Colin Smith will saddle up Tampering Falls at Esperance along with Amastryker who has its WA debut.

Amastryker will contest Provincial Championship heat with Renne Forrest in the saddle while Peter Hall takes the sit on Tampering Falls.
