Warriors remain undefeated in the Albany and Districts Cricket Association under-14s competition after patient knocks from Devon Jeffries and Merlin Bew helped set up an intense run chase for Redbacks last Saturday.

Jefferies and Bew both finished the innings not out after retiring and coming back in.

Jefferies finished unbeaten on 10 from 30 balls while Bew made 9 off 36 to get their side to 8-96 from 30 overs.

Redbacks’ Tom Geddes took 2-9 off three overs.

Geddes, Ethan Ham and Kaleb Germain tried everything they could to hand Warriors their first defeat but it wasn’t enough.

Geddes (13), Germain (10) and Ham were not able to chase down the total as their side finished at 8-84.

The Warriors bowlers held their nerve in the final few overs as Jack Doak (2-5) and Buddy Robinson (2-9) returned great figures in the Warriors ninth straight win.

A brilliant half century from Ethan Forman has guided Denmark to a tense three-run win over Kings.

Forman smashed eight fours and two sixes in his innings off 56 from 48 balls while Tarik Hartfield chipped in with 14 as their side posted 8-139 batting first.

Bailey Peacock tried to get Kings over the line smashing 48 not out, while Riley Bessen (20) and Blair Ball (16) also chipped in but their side fell short ending up on 9-136.

Blues secured a comfortable win over Mt Barker in the other fixture.

Blues posted a huge 7-171 after contributions from Teague Valli (28no), Milan Jaggi (23) and Lachlan Tindale (23).

Mt Barker could only register 8-69 in reply as Cameron Walsh top scored with 13.
