Denmark Recreation Centre is set for a fresh modern look and new equipment as part of the Shire of Denmark refurbishment plans for the facility.

The centre will soon receive a new and improved gym layout, with interactive support to help members reach their fitness goals.

New equipment will also provide wheelchair access and be better suited to individuals recovering from injury.

Recreation Centre assistant manager John Overton said the refurbishment and new services would attract new user groups.

“We are committed to making the gym a more up-to-date space to cater for a wider range of contemporary fitness uses,” he said.

The centre will also develop a new online application called PT Hub which will allow members to receive customisable nutrition, training plans and tracking their exercise progress through the app.

The Denmark Men’s Shed is also helping the Shire with the gym refurbishment, adding clever storage options and new decor.
