Two exciting finals to be played in ANA A1 competition as Magpies and Railways put season on the line

Premiership fancies Royals Saints 1 will be out to extend their unbeaten run in the Albany Netball Association A1 competition when they tackle Narrikup 1 in the qualifying final on Saturday. The ANA finals begin on Saturday with qualifying and elimination finals played across all grades. Royals Saints will be chasing a 13th consecutive win this season in their bid to move directly into the A1 grand final in a fortnight. They have a perfect win-loss record of 12-0 in the regular season and have beaten Narrikup by 20 goals and then six goals in their two meetings so far this year. Narrikup will be hoping to take their momentum from the final round into the highly-anticipated qualifying final. They snatched second spot and a finals double chance off Magpies 1 in the final round of fixtures after their seven-goal victory over Kangas 1. Narrikup enter the finals having won five of their past six games, the only blemish in that period being a 49-55 loss to Royals Saints. Meanwhile Magpies will square off with Railways 1 in an elimination final showdown on Saturday. Magpies are the defending A1 premiers and won eight of their 12 games to finish third on the standings. Leading into the finals, Magpies won their last three games and had the round 14 bye. A win over Bethel 1 in the last round helped Railways snatch a finals berth but they have gone down to Magpies twice this season. Magpies won the round three encounter by 15 goals and their most recent clash resulted in a single goal win to Magpies. Railways will take confidence from winning their last three matches and also getting within two goals of title fancies Royals Saints in round 11. The elimination final will be played at 1pm followed by the qualifying final at 2.30pm.
