Four teams will vie for the two remaining grand final spots in the Lower Great Southern Hockey Association A-grade competitions.

Spencer Park will clash with North Albany in the men’s A-grade preliminary final on Saturday, and Park face Mt Barker in the women’s A-grade preliminary final.

With a three-team finals series, the side that finished third had a bye in the first week of finals while the top two faced off, with the winner progressing directly through to the decider.

Park are the reigning premiers in the men’s competition and will be looking for another grand final berth after finishing on top of the ladder before going down narrowly in extra time to Manypeaks in their semifinal clash last Saturday.

Redbacks squeezed into third spot in the final round and will be looking to secure a grand final spot after going down to Park on the biggest stage last season.

In the women’s A-grade, Park will be out to return to grand final day after not competing in the top division last year.

Mt Barker will attempt to advance to the decider, in pursuit of their first premiership, but Park will be hungry to claim more title success, having won the premiership in 2018.

The women’s prelim starts at 2pm and it will be followed by the men’s final at 4pm.
