The annual Easter Excellence in Woodcraft Show will take shape again in 2017 with an array of woodwork productions on show across the long weekend at the Shire of Denmark administration building.

The four-day event is hosted by the Woodturners of Denmark and features work from throughout the Great Southern.

Also on offer at the exhibition are daily raffles and a grand four-day raffle along with a variety of competitions for turning, carving, furniture and mixed media.

WOD president Jim Reynoldson praised the Shire and local businesses for their involvement in the exhibition.

“We are once again grateful to the Shire for support through the venue and to individuals and businesses in the region who support us with sponsorship,” he said.

“It’s a very popular event, it’s become a bit of an Easter institution in Denmark. We get some beautiful pieces and there are a lot of artistic entries.”

Mr Reynoldson said there will be many attractions.be a number of other offerings throughout the exhibition. “There will be woodturning demonstrations, running for the duration of the show, along with tea, coffee and cakes as well as competitions for the children,” he said.

There is a gold coin donation on entry with the show running from Friday to Monday, 9am to 5pm.
