Three junior Albany Mountain Bike Club riders have returned home from a successful trip to Tasmania over the last two weekends.

Corben Weinert, Hayden Kinnear and Harper O’Donnell all competed in the 2019 MTBA Gravity Enduro National Championships held at Maydena Bike Park.

Weinert and Kinnear competed in the under-19 category while O’Donnell competed in the under-15s.

The trio produced terrific results, with Weinert finishing third and Kinnear not far behind, just missing out on the podium in fourth spot in the under-19 category. O’Donnell rode well all weekend and came home with a fifth place in his section.

Weinert and Kinnear were rewarded for their fantastic championship finishing eighth and 16th overall, when riders from all categories were combined.

Weinert and Kinnear also competed in the Shimano Enduro Tour in Derby on November 16 and 17 containing the best enduro riders in Australia.

Both riders took part in the under-21 category with Weinert crossing the line in fourth position.

Kinnear finished his ride in seventh place.

Weinert and Kinnear were both very grateful for the support and help from Bobs Bikes, instrumental in getting them across to Tasmania.
