Tractors pull couple into wedded bliss

Shannon SmithAlbany Advertiser

Newly weds Roxanne Mostert and Vaughn Schoof married on Saturday in a beautiful ceremony that concluded with a drive down York Street on tractors.

They were attended by 250 guests as they tied the knot at the Free Reformed Church of West Albany. The reception was held at the Narrikup District Hall where 120 friends and family celebrated into the night.

Mrs Schoof said she grew up on a farm in Redmond, and with her husband taking a liking to farm life, thought why not do something meaningful and scrub up the tractors and use them as cars?

The bride said they felt very blessed to have been surrounded by family and friends and praised God for such a beautiful day.

“Driving down York Street was an experience we will never forget,” she said.

“It was great to see the general public enjoy it with all the happy waves that we got.”

She was accompanied by maid of honour Natasha Vermeulen and bridesmaid Renae Terpstra, while the groom chose two best men, Geoff Bosch and Steven Piacun.
