Top students awarded
High-achieving students were rewarded for their success at South Regional TAFE’s Great Southern Awards night last week.
Albany child care worker Caitlin Puls took out the top regional honour. Ms Puls qualified with the Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, and was named Vocational Student of the Year for the Great Southern.
Eden Coyne, who took part in Preparation for Health and Nursing Studies, took home the title of Aboriginal Student of the Year.
Engineering student Mitchell Sargeant was named Apprentice of the Year. Other award winners included Rashell Francis, who was named Trainee of the Year, and Ronice Preston who took out the title of Female Student of the Year.
Students from Albany, Esperance, Katanning and Denmark-Mt Barker were surrounded by family and friends, sponsors and industry partners at Albany Entertainment Centre.
