Albany mountain-bike riders did well at the opening two rounds of the WA Gravity Enduro Series in Margaret River and Dunsborough last weekend.

Rising star Corben Weinert won both events in the under-19 division, taking the first round by more than eight seconds before he won the second round by more than four seconds.

Hayden Kinnear finished seventh in the full enduro 19+ category in Dunsborough in round two. Andy McK was third in both rounds in the 30-39 category finishing seven seconds behind the winner in round one and was just beaten in round two.

Hamish Wilkes finished eighth in the under-17s at Margaret River in the opening round.

In the round one event at Margaret River, Hayley Poett was second in the under-13 women’s class and in the under-15 women’s Chelsea Sobik also came second.

Fellow Great Southern riders Wil Dal Pozzo and Declan Poett weren’t able to break into the top ten for their respective categories.
