Top level riders shine in dressage
Albany’s Louise Hillman has produced a scintillating performance at the annual Southern Solstice Dressage Competition at Albany Equestrian Centre last weekend.
The accomplished competitor took out the advanced 5.1 category, Prix St Georges, novice freestyle and advanced freestyle, while placing second in advanced 5.2.
Hillman was riding Lord Louie in the advanced freestyle to finish with 72.5 per cent, beating Kristy Zabaznow aboard Heatherton Park Ma Cherie with 70 per cent.
Young talent Amy Ross on Ma Belle Ami took out the medium 4.2 category with a score of 60.5 per cent, Tracy Thomas riding BM Antonio scored 60.3 per cent.
Other strong performers during the competition were Sarah Pratt, aboard Blackwood Ridge Valora, along with Karen Spice riding Macarthur Rasta.
