Tim Coxall claims second Ronnie J Street Stock Memorial victory in the past five years at Mt Barker Speedway

Tim Coxall has powered to his second Ronnie J Street Stock Memorial victory in the past five years, claiming the same event he won in 2018 at Mt Barker Speedway on Saturday afternoon. Coxall took to Les Gorman Park against five other street stocks, with only six cars taking part in the feature race. He started the feature race on the outside of the front row after winning his first two heats but didn’t finish in the third and final heat, which was taken out by Anthony Perrella. Coxall quickly grabbed the lead in the opening few laps and stayed there for the 15-lap final as he prevailed by 1.595 seconds over Paul Bowman while Perrella filled third. The support divisions attracted 16 entries across four categories. A field of seven drivers competed in the junior sedans with five starting in the final which was won by Baxter Trouchet. Brock Pearce won on overall points for the day with 128 ahead of Trouchet (110 points) and Syarra Parry (80). Paul Spink won the production sedans category on overall points after collecting 144 followed by Vickie Sharrock (112) and Paul Long (23). Spink also won the final, finishing two laps ahead of Sharrock. Nathan Thiele proved too good in the super sedans final and on overall points as he collected 123 to defeat Ajay Hammer on 115 and Tony St Jack rounded out the podium with 99. Mt Barker’s next meeting will be on Saturday, March 5.
