State champion Chris Pavlovich wins Ken Taylor highest-points trophy at Mt Barker Speedway

Mt Barker super sedan driver and state champion Chris Pavlovich dominated his home track to win the Ken Taylor highest-points award last Saturday.

The Ken Taylor highest-points trophy goes to the Mt Barker Speedway Club member with the most points from any division, and Pavlovich claimed the prize after notching three victories from four heats to go with a second placing.

Pavlovich won heat one and heat two in the super sedan class before coming second to Wayne Coleman in heat three.

However, he bounced back in the final to win by just under two seconds over Matthew McMahon.

Junior sedan driver Jhy Pack had a day to remember also, winning all four races and broke the junior sedan track record in heat one.

Pack won the day on total points over Baxter Trouchet and Jarrod Pearce.

Production sedan driver Aydan Trewern won three out of four races to defeat Stephen Pearce and John Tarrandetti.

Trewern won heats one and two before finishing second in heat three but he dominated the final to win by over six seconds.

Three female competitors finished on the podium at the end of the proceedings in the junior formula 125s division.

Georgia Ellis defeated Ella Hann and Emma Wilson on overall points.

Sam Jewell had a great day in the senior formula 125 division, downing Jacinta Tester and Bill Beeck.

Jewell won heats two and three, his only defeat coming in heat one to Tester.

Peter Herbert was victorious in the street stocks division, claiming all four races.
