Spirits soar in snow show

Bluff Knoll received another dusting of snow on Saturday morning — the fifth official snowfall this year.

There were also reports of snow atop nearby Mt Toolbrunup, the second highest peak in the Stirling Range, at dawn on Saturday.

Jodie and Barry Jones climbed the Bluff with many others, who were also keen to witness the rare sight of snow in WA.

The cold front dumped more than 10.8mm of rain on Albany in the 24 hours to 9am Saturday, with the mercury hitting just 14.1C.
