Shire of Denmark launches DIY engagement kits for review of strategic community plan

Denmark workers and residents looking to have their say on the Shire of Denmark’s strategic community plan can now complete a do-it-yourself kit online.
The DIY kit, which contains three simple activities, is designed to help members of the community develop their ideas for the Shire’s strategic community plan — an overarching framework that will guide all of its decision-making for the next decade.
The Shire said there has been an incredible amount of positive and helpful feedback from the community with more than 1600 responses received so far.
Shire of Denmark chief executive officer David Schober said the kit was a great opportunity for local groups, clubs and organisations to pool their ideas and contribute to the review process.
“We very much encourage anyone interested to take this chance to get involved before the consultation for this review process closes,” Mr Schober said.
DIY kits are available on the Shire’s website and must be submitted by April 28 to enquiries@denmark.wa.gov.au.
A draft plan will be made available in May.
