Search for occupants of vehicle found on rocks at The Gap

Police are searching for the occupants of a vehicle found abandoned on rocks at Albany’s The Gap.

A plane and emergency services searched the coastline after the white dual-cab ute was found abandoned close to the 40m cliff at the tourist spot at about 3.45pm on Monday.

Police said the vehicle was found near the walkway to The Gap’s viewing platform but the occupant/occupants were not located.

The search was suspended overnight due to conditions but will resume on Tuesday morning.

The tourist hotspot was closed this afternoon.

Anyone who may have seen the vehicle or occupant/occupants at The Gap on Monday were urge to call Albany police on 9892 9300.
