Safe space for artistic youth

Shannon SmithAlbany Advertiser

The Drug Aware Open Access Youth Arts group held a studio exhibition called On Axis yesterday afternoon.

The group of up to 30 students, aged 12 to early 20s, meet on Monday and Tuesday afternoons to learn from local artists for free.

Organised by Albany Youth Support Association, the group has the opportunity to create art, make friends and find out about youth services available to them.

The exhibition will open again on Saturday from 11am- 1pm with a special visit from the Perth Wildcats basketball team.

People are encouraged to go down and support the students and buy artwork.
