RSL Championships end a successful season

Albany Soapbox Club held its prestigious RSL Championships last Sunday at Apex Drive on Mt Clarence with a fast day of racing to close out a successful 2017 calendar season.

The day was dominated by the female competitors as Tayissa Condren and Ellie Senior won the junior and senior finals respectively.

In the juniors, Tayissa proved too strong with 16 points to take first place ahead of Noah Coleman in second with 12 points, followed by Samual Bryan on seven and Ryder Coleman on five.

Tayissa also clocked the fastest time of the day in juniors in 42.82 seconds.

In the senior category, Ellie Senior was judged the winner on a countback with 12 points, edging out Daisy Senior.

Jaidyn Hindge was third on eight points and Kynon Coleman took fourth place with four points.

Ellie also recorded the fastest time of the day with a 43.11 seconds effort in the senior division.
