The major fundraiser for Albany Community Hospice is set to be boosted by the presence of recently retired West Coast Eagles great Matt Priddis.

The annual fundraising event, which included a golf day has been revamped this year to a cocktail- style event to be hosted by the White Star Hotel on November 19.

Priddis will be joined by West Coast legend and AFL Hall of Fame member Glen Jakovich, who returns for his seventh time.

Securing the 2014 Brownlow medallist fresh from finishing his 240-game AFL career is another major coup for the event.

Priddis, 32, announced his shock retirement in July and played his final match in the Eagles’ semifinal loss to Greater Western Sydney.

The event includes canapes, live entertainment and an auction, while Jakovich and Priddis will entertain the crowd with stories from their decorated careers.

Jakovich joined in 2012 to help boost the profile of the event.

The hospice fundraiser previously included Eagles has premiership heroes Dean Cox and Andrew Embley and currentFremantle Dockers stars Hayden Ballantyne and Aaron Sandilands.

Tickets are now available at $60 a person from the venue.
