Rare waterspout captured on film off WA’s south coast

A rare waterspout has been captured on camera along WA’s south coast.

Annie Vanderbyl was hiking with her friend on the Bibbulmun Track near Peaceful Bay, west of Denmark, yesterday when they witnessed the unusual weather phenomenon.

“There was heavy rain and showers crossing the coast, with strong winds,” she said.

“It was an awesome morning.”
