Radio stolen from fire shed

Mt Barker Police are calling for information after a portable radio has been stolen from a local bushfire brigade shed.

The theft occurred while the crew were out on community project.

The incident comes after a series of thefts by people targeting bushfire brigades in the Albany region.

Earlier this year the a fire truck was stolen from Torbay, the South Coast brigade shed was broken into twice in two weeks in April and vital equipment was also taken from Perillup near Mt Barker.

Mt Barker Police posted the update on Twitter and asked that any information be forwarded to the Mount Barker Police on 98511122.
