Posts signal football ground is ready for bouncedown

The finishing touches to the new Centennial Stadium are being applied with the goal posts rising in readiness for the new season.

City of Albany staff have assembled the new AFL size posts in the past two days as the stadium’s co-tenants Royals and Albany Sharks moved across this week to their new home.

The Sharks enjoyed their first training run on the ground on Tuesday evening while Royals are set to train at the venue for the first time tonight.

The clubs clash in the first match at the ground to begin the new Great Southern Football League season on Saturday April 22 expected to be underlights.
