Police probe chemical find in car

Albany Advertiser

The organised crime squad is continuing investigations after suspicious chemicals were found in a vehicle on Albany Highway on Saturday night.

A Toyota Lexcen was pulled over by Albany police at 11:50pm on Saturday in McKail for a random breath test. When police decided to search the car, this led to the discovery of the chemicals.

OCS was notified and officers arrived on Sunday and spent the day further investigating the car and its contents.

Two men are assisting police with their inquiries.

No charges have been laid yet as the investigation is ongoing.
