Police make Denmark armed robbery arrest

Albany Detectives have charged a Denmark woman with armed robbery following an alleged hold up at the Denmark Tavern on Boxing Day last year.

It is alleged at around 2:40pm, the woman was armed with a large knife and entered the tavern and threatened a staff member.

She later fled the store with a sum of money and alcohol.

The 36-year-old woman will appear in Albany Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Detectives have also charged an 18-year-old Kendenup with armed robbery which occured in Mt Barker in August last year.

Police allege the man was 17 years old at the time he is accused of entering a service station on Mitchell Street, Mt Barker and stole a sum of cash and several items whilst armed with a weapon on August 30 at 7.58pm.

He is due to appear in Albany Children’s Court today.
