Police investigating firearm theft from Mira Mar residence on Sunday, community urged to be vigilant

The Albany community has been urged to stay vigilant as detectives investigate the theft of three firearms from a Mira Mar residence on Sunday.

An unknown person forced entry into a residence on Cockburn Road at about 3.20am and stole three long-arm firearms, Albany detectives say.

The suspect then left the premised in a white hatchback.

Police have not made any arrests and are still investigating the incident.

Anyone with information about the burglary, the whereabouts of the stolen firearms or have seen any suspicious attempts to sell firearms is asked to contact Crime Stoppers or by calling 1800 333 000.
